Welcome to Curious by Nature School, a small, non-profit private school nestled in the quiet, historic community of Gig Harbor, WA. We are easily accessible from Highway 16, next to Henderson Bay and just around the corner from Gig Harbor High School. We offer nature-based early childhood programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, creative, and academic needs of your child. Currently we offer Preschool programs for children 2 to 5 years, Pre-K and Kindergarten programs for children 4 to 7 years, as well as flexible program options tailored to meet the needs of our community. Children go outside everyday, rain or shine.

It's Official - We're moving in June 2012!

We've found a new home that will be even better than our current space! Close to City of Gig Harbor-maintained trails, a wetlands preserve at Adam Tallman Nature Park, and minutes from large ponds where children can observe nature and learn about the native waterfowl and other bird varieties that call the nature park home. This space at "Mallard's Landing II" at 7191 Wagner Way NW is new construction, which means we'll collaborate with the owners to design the space to suit our needs.

To celebrate anticipated lower overhead expenses and increased grant and fundraising opportunities, CBN announced today that tuition prices will be reduced by 25% for the 2012-13 school year!

You're invited to enjoy a lovely evening including a gourmet and kid-friendly dinner, live entertainment and auction, and a wide assortment of appetizers, desserts, and wine. Tickets are available at the door. First come, first served.

Proceeds are not tax deductible, as we are still in the process of getting our 501c3 status. But generous contributions will help support children and families in the greater Gig Harbor community and Curious by Nature School's Moving Capital Fund. Monthly Family Nature Walk - Adam Tallman Nature Park

Join us on our "Family Nature Walk" to take a peek at the nearby nature trails, wetlands, and lakes that are close to our new location. We'll meet at the parking lot at 1pm on the 4th Saturday of each month. We hope you can join us... please call at least 24 hours before hand to RSVP. We'll meet at the Adam Tallman Nature Park parking lot (6626 Wagner Way) Gig Harbor, WA, 98335 and leave promptly at 1pm. We'll return to the parking lot at approx. 2pm. --Note the paved trail is stroller-friendly for your little wee ones.

New Kindergarten Program Starting in Fall 2012

Starting in the fall 2012, we will be offering our first ever Kindergarten program. This program will be taught by a certified, experienced Kindergarten teacher and will be available to children 5+ years by August 31, 2012. You can register your child for any of the following sessions:

Full Day Session: 9am to 3pm
AM Session: 9am to 1pm
